We had Phurba as our personal guide on 4 day trek from Lukla. He was wonderful – he show us many amazing sites and adjusted the route to meet our capabilities (we are in our late 60s / 70s). He never pushed us and his command of English is great which meant communication was not an issue.
Phurba has a fantastic knowledge which means he is always able to keep your interest. Not only did we see the sights we met local people and learned the local culture and he shared his experience of his many treks to higher levels. We became so friendly we have stayed in touch ever since and now feel we know his family although we have never met them.
